Viña Do Avó Blanco is a young white wine from the D.O Riberio produced by Adega Antonio Cajide, founded in 2006.

The winery is located near the river Miño, in Ribadavia, Ourense. The wine has taken the name of the grandfather Manuel, who dedicated his whole life to the vineyards.

Viña Do Avó Blanco is a blend of the varieties: Treixadura, Godello, Torrontés, Albariño, Lado and Caiño. The vineyards owned by the winery, favoured by natural barriers that surround them, these protect the vines from sea squalls from the Atlantic Ocean.

The average temperature is around 15ºC. The soils are mainly sandy-loam and granite. The vines are always treated using the maximum respect for the environment. No herbicides or pesticides are used. After the harvest and transportation to the winery, Viña Do Avó Blanco is cold macerated with sweet lees. Before being bottled, the must for Viña Do Avó Blanco is fermented at a controlled temperature.
