Bodegas Valdemar’s 132-year history began in 1889 with Joaquín Martínez Bujanda and continues today under Jesús Martínez Bujanda, the fourth-generation owner of his family business. A pioneering gene runs in the family, having produced the region's first barrel-fermented white wines in the 1980s and the first Maturana and White Tempranillo wines. Valdemar's passion comes from their estate vineyards spanning the three subdivisions of Rioja. Valdemar unquestionably produces the highest quality wines that Rioja can offer.
