This is the wine that best represents Bodegas Valdemar and their region: Rioja. Bodegas Valdemar maintains the tradition in Rioja of making expressive and high quality Reservas and Gran Reservas. Fermentation process: After destemming and crushing, the primary fermentation begins in stainless steel tanks at 24º. Maceration takes place for 14 days in order to extract structure, color and fruit aromas. This is followed by malolactic fermentation and 27 months aging in American and French oak barrels that provides us with the roundness that shapes the wine’s expression. It’s a wine with finesse, elegance and with a nice complexity where the fruit and oak mingle in the perfect way. Deep cherry color with ruby shades. Powerful and complex nose filled with aromas of ripe fruit and spicy notes dominating, as well as licorice, truffle and cocoa touches. Displays a balanced palate, delicate and flavorsome. It has a silky entrance followed by a persistent finish with soft tannins. Suitable for stews, oven baked or grilled meats, sausages, cured cheeses and an assortment of savory rice dishes. Best served at 16/18 C.
