Pumphouse Shiraz is a cuvée specially crafted based on varietal character and intensity. Black cherry, raspberry fruit, and rich mocha aromas are given added complexity via subtle aniseed and vanillin tones derived from maturation in French and American oak barriques. The palate has weight and sheer flavour intensity.

This wine is grown on the slopes of the Simonsberg with weathered granite and clay loam soils.

The grapes are fermented for 5-6 days and pressed early to finish fermentation in barrel. The wine is aged for 12-18 months in small French and American oak barrels.
